Stress Management classes will vary by the client but will always begin with some guided breathwork. Learning to breathe deeply and with control is the basis for our stress management program.
Following the breathwork, we will usually work through a series of supported/restorative poses which allow you to fully relax. We stay in those poses for approximately 5-10 minutes before moving slowly on to the next pose. At the end of a restorative class, we may have a yoga nidra (yogic sleep) or guided meditation session depending on the needs of the students.
For some people, movement helps them deal with their stress. Having chatted to you and worked out what you need, we will design a class to help lead you to relaxation and give you tools to help you manage your stress.
