BIO

I am an expat Brit whose passion for yoga was slow growing. I began with classes at the YMCA in 2006 more to improve my flexibility than anything else. Soon after, I realized that the only time I truly switched off from my internal ‘to do list’ was when I was on my mat. By 2015 I was ready to learn more about how this worked and decided to take a 200 hour teacher training course. As I began to teach, I discovered how much I love to see the way yoga eases the stress of other people’s crazy busy lives and allows them to disconnect for a time.

As well as being RYT 200 certified with Yoga Alliance, I have taken additional training courses in Restorative Yoga, Meditation, Pre Natal Yoga, Yoga Nidra and Teaching Special Populations. I am also fully insured through Yoga Alliance.

My goal with Anakula Yoga is to offer a unique environment where everyone can feel welcome and experience total relaxation and relief from the stress of their everyday lives.  I encourage people to book  sessions with  their best friend or significant other and share this very special way of escaping from the world for an hour or so each week.

My home studio classes will never have more than 3 people. This means I have time to pay attention to each student and can offer help, advice and adjustments.  I feel this is the best way to personalize your practice and ensure you get the most of out of your time on the mat. Imagine the luxury of having a teacher who has time to help adjust your position in a pose or who will move your props to provide the ultimate relaxation.

As well as offering classes at home, I am happy to come to you if you have a space. You really don’t need much more than the space a mat takes up plus room to hold your arms out to the side. I’ll work with you if you prefer to have sessions at home or in your workplace. Just contact me and ask for more information.
